Manchester United Secures Transfer of German Star Striker Lea Schuller
Manchester United's women's team has completed a high-profile signing by acquiring German national team forward Lea Schuller who joins from the Bundesliga champions.
The experienced forward, who put pen to paper on a deal running until June 2029, is the team's second signing of the January transfer window, coming after the arrival of defender Hanna Lundkvist.
An Accomplished Goalscorer
Schuller spent five years at the Bavarian club, making over 100 appearances and helping the team win four league titles.
On the international stage, her record is equally formidable, with 54 strikes in 82 appearances for Germany.
"From the first conversations I held with manager Marc Skinner and the club, the goals of everyone here were extremely evident," stated Schuller.
She was part of the squad that were beaten finalists to England at Euro 2022 and also claimed a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

"There is still so much that I want to achieve in my career, and I believe that this club is the perfect place for me," she added.
"I believe that the team's style of football will really suit my game. I hope my qualities and experience can help us to reach our aims both in the WSL and in the Champions League."
The club's director of women's football, Man Utd's head of women's football, remarked: "Lea's goal-scoring record is exceptional, her style of play will give our forward line an exciting new dimension.
"Lea's winning mentality and experience will really help our ambitious and youthful team as we continue to grow together and compete across both domestic and continental competitions."
Building for the Future
The club hope to be busy in the remaining weeks of the window as boss Marc Skinner looks to strengthen his team for the knockout stages of the top European competition.
They have already agreed a new deal with key playmaker Hinata Miyazawa, who will now stay through to the summer of 2029.
