Netflix Selects Spot-On Actor for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season

The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bentham. This character can use their power to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that character reimagined as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action series, as in the original manga and animated series.

Escola is joined by several other new cast members tasked with bringing the group to the screen, including chief the main antagonist, played by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.

Although Bon Clay is a key figure of Baroque Works, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. With season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest more adjustments to the plot development.

Their mix of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the character. Along with their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

The platform’s adapted One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
