We begin with questions from Conservative lawmaker the committee chair, who oversees the group.
She opens by offering details to the disclosed memorandum prepared by Michael Prescott and released in a daily publication.
"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation slanting this way or that way, I simply desire it balanced, fair and fair," he declares.
In response to a query if he believes the BBC is structurally prejudiced, he responds: "No, I do not. To be clear, numerous aspects the BBC creates is exceptional - encompassing informative and non-factual shows."
But he adds: "There exists significant effort that requires attention at the BBC."
A further former external British Broadcasting Corporation specialist interviewed by the committee, Caroline Daniel, says she regards the BBC with great importance and that it maintains a "continuous process and vigorous discourse" on evolving and intricate issues.
"Did the BBC ready to have a genuine conversation and argument and take action?" she asks herself. "In my view, affirmative, they were."
